Out of generic interest, is this all standard with a K-1 Visa i.e. you get a letter with an interview waiver, but it then takes another 6 months?

I get that I fast-tracked my way through the GC process relative to others, but this hurry-up-n-wait-AGAIN seems excessive.

Decision

On March 27, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Actually I did not receive any letter till yesterday when that update was made..My account was dormant for sometime.

On April 1, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I've been checking our case status evey afternoon and evening and it still says that they are reviewing our RFE evidence. However, today we received the potential interview waiver letter. We're hoping that we get the same results as others......a card soon.

It's been almost a month now and our case seems to be stalled somewhere. On-line still reports "reviewing RFE evidence" For us, it seems like everything has been taking forever during this process.

We are on potential interview waiver and still very much waiting for green card, I have a feeling it's going to take a while! Just thought I'd post and say I travelled on my EAD/AP card to Brazil and back to the USA with no hitches whatsoever, so if anyone was thinking of making a trip home or elsewhere I had a really positive experience in that regard. In fact that was also with my passport still in my maiden name - I thought I might have problems but it was a breeze! Pleasant surprise.

Hi guys,

Received interview waiver letter dated February 28, and today I received a mail from my local USCIS office re. RFE. They're basically asking for documents that I already submitted along with my original packet.- marriage cert, vaccination records and docs to prove marriage.

Hope this does not delay my case any further.

Wow, that sucks that they are asking for stuff you already submitted...BUT at least you know your case was transferred to your local office and they are now working on your case! I'm pretty sure it won't be long until you get your GC! Good luck!
