Did my interview tuesday May 27th 2014...however the immigration officer gave me a paper stating that my case is pending review and during this process this they do not require any additional documents if so they will send a RFE, i might be called for a second interview if not a final decision will be sent in the mail. I am now worried and hope everything will work out. I was a J1 student where the 2 year home residency applied so i had to apply for a waiver to get that condition removed. i however filed in Nov 2013 for green card before my waiver was approved. My waiver was finally approved the end of January 2014. I brought the waiver to my interview cause i knew they would request it from me. I am thinking its because i am just submitting the waiver why i was not approved on spot. the interview actually went well and i thought i would get a positive result. Well at least it wasn't denied.

The last update we got was the "potential interview waiver" dated February 28th. Last Thursday (June 6th) I filed on online change of address... Today I found out that they tried to send the GC to our old address on June 6th. When I check the tracking number it seems like it was supposed to arrive on June 7th. I'm hoping the post office is just forwarding the mail to the new address (we signed up for mail forwarding weeks ago). The USPS website says the package was "undeliverable as addressed" :crying:

I find it strange that they sent the card on the SAME DAY I did the change of address online. My case status update showed no "approval" or "card/document production" last Friday (June 7th), yet apparently the post office was trying to deliver it!

It's almost like somebody at the USCIS office opened our file to change the address, and discovered that the Green Card was ready. My only hope is that the post office doesn't screw up and lose the card, since it seems like others on VJ have had this experience. Any tips on how to handle a "lost in the mail" situation if it comes down to it?

We had a similar situation... because we moved and the USCIS sent the card to our old address (NY). The bad news is that it did get lost, for a month - but it was just bad luck!. At the end USPS was able to locate the GC and send it to our new address (FL). What I am trying to say, is that maybe it will take a little more that it should but DO NOT WORRY! YOU WILL GET IT!!!

Give USPS at least a week to deliver the GC at your new address... if they do not, you can try to call them and speak gibberish to the computer... that is the only way to speak to an agent!

I hope this can help!

"Card/Document Production

The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card..... on June 25, 2014"

USPS Tracking shows it to be in Memphis, TN right now. We expect to receive it Friday the 27th.

Both my wife, and her (my) son, who is now 21, but was not when we filed AOS!

She is so happy, and so am I!

Thank you Visa Journey!
