Hi all. I have a k1 visa..

My wedding date is not decided yet, so not able to schedule an appointment for parents. Can u plz help me and tell me.

1. Is it important to have the wedding card from my fiance's side or we can use the wedding card from my side?

2. My father talked to some one , he said he needs letter of sponsorship from my fiance stating, my parents will be living at his residence and all that stuff.

Is it true? Does he really, needs them?

And my dad told me he needs a notarized sponsorship letter.

3. What all eveidences they can prove for strong ties?

My grand parents are in India and my parents do look after them so can they provide that also as an evidence?

Plz do help me.. I think the dates and venues will all be decided within the week or so..

And also let me know what are the chances for my parents visa approval.

You don;t need a letter of sponsorship, but it won;t hurt. JUst something saying that you and your fiance will take care of financial expenses while your parents are in the USA, whether that is by living together, or putting the parents up in a hotel etc. It would also be good if the letter stated what the plans are for their stay. Ie other than the wedding, is there anything else they plan to do- travel around, seeing a local landmark., visiting your extended family in the USA or meeting his? So the CO knows there is a plan for the time they are there and why they plan to stay for a week/ a month/ 8 weeks/ however long they are asking for.

As for ties, bring everything they have. A letter from the grandfather's doctor stating they are primary caregiver is good. If either of the parents are working, letters from the employer stating they can only get X days of vacation. Proof of funds (bank account), proof of any houses/ property/ business they own.
