Hello,

I'm completing Form G-325A now (just back from China, got married) and I have a few questions.
1) Do both me and my wife fill out a form G-325A? If not, which one of us is required to fill it out?
2) Would my Chinese wife who has never been outside of China have an "A (Alien Registration Number)"? Or do I leave this area blank or put N/A, on the form G-325A?
3) In the section below, what should I check off?
This form is submitted in connection with an application for:
* Naturalization
* Status as Permanent Resident
* Other (Specify):
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I want to send in the forms needed as soon as possible.

Answers:

  1. You both fill out the form
  2. "None" is what would be written
  3. Tick 'other' and write "Form I-130"

You both fill out the G-325A form. No she won't have an "A Number" yet so leave it blank and I can't remember for you're last question if it's "status as permanent resident" or "other".

When I moved to the US, I arrived on a K1 visa which are for fiancée/fiancé's only. I noticed on your profile that is what you are filing for also but if you got married while in China you will need to fill out the IR-1/CR-1 forms.

Thanks for the reply and info, MmmBlondie,

I appreciate it.

Originally we filed for a K-1 Fiancee Visa, but then my wife (who was my Fiancee at the time) changed her mind and decided that she would rather become my wife before she became my Fiancee, so we got married and will go the CR-1 route instead of the K-1 route. So now she is my wife. But I might still refer to her as my Fiancee, just to confuse people on this forum.

Take care,

Hi Darnell,

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear from you.

2 + 2 = 4 not 2.

No, I did not bring the forms to China for her to sign, because my plan was to print them on my computer.

But now that you mention the idea, yours was a much better idea than the one I had. ranting33va.gifoops8rh.gifcrying.gif

So I guess I'll have to fly back to China to have her sign the form. Just kidding. I'll have to Federal Express mail it to her with a Postage Paid self-addressed return envelope (my BAD). crying.gifoops8rh.gifranting33va.gif

By the way, I want to thank those on this forum who answered my questions and gave me support.

I mainly owe a great deal of thanks to Ryan H and Darnell.

I don't think I would have been able to pull it off and get married during my last trip to China without your help.

I'll always appreciate it.

Thanks again,

why mail her any forms?

just email it to her - she can print out at any copy shop in China, then sign it, then send it via EMS back to you.

What is EMS by the way?

Express Mail Service; China's version of USPS Express Mail.
