Hi. My wife got a K-1 visa and came here a couple months ago. During the application we got her son a K-2. He is still in the motherland (finishing the school year).

Our status right now is K-1 visa + married, have not filed for AOS yet (should be done within a week).

Question is: can her son visit for Christmas on the K-2, return back home, and then come back later somehow?

No. A k2 is a single entry visa, if he comes he has to stay and wait advanced parole before he can leave again or he will not be allowed back in the US

Maybe I can apply for AP before he even gets here? How do you guys manage a kid in school? I don't want to interrupt the school year for him but it'd be nice for him to visit.

I dont know all your story but I will personaly move soon in the USA and I bring my son with me and He will continue the school there. It's possible also to do homeschool.

But otherwise, No, the visa K2 is good only one time.
