What could be the delay?

The embassy got my case on 11/4, and it became ready on 11/5. On 11/6 the case status updated, still at ready.

The embassy told me to email them at the end of November, and that my Interview would probably be in December.

One couple a few days before me got an Interview date, and another couple 1 day after me ( embassy got theirs on 11/5 ) already got interview dates assigned to them for the first week in december...

I just don't understand why they haven't scheduled mine yet, but have been scheduling others.

My case was updated twice, as well.

Any ideas what might be going on? or has anyone experienced this..

We've all experienced something like this, it's called government process. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Things are not necessarily processed in the order they're received.

It's only been a week, I wouldn't start freaking out about your interview date just yet.

November 14th, 2013: She's here!

December 12th, 2013: Picked up marriage license.

December 14th, 2013: Wedding

I have been waiting for my consulate to get case for 7 days now and it still appears in the CEAC website as in transit. Do you know if there is another way of tracking

How to track on DHL

Go to DHL.com, at the top click on "Express" then look for "tracking" then under that, "Track by Shipper's reference"

It'll take you to a box with information to fill out. In the first line, you want to follow this example but use your ship out date when the NVC tells you when they shipped it out to your fiances country.

Shipper's Reference: EXP 22 OCT 2013A (follow this format but put in the day the NVC said they sent it out and your 3 letter month.)

* Date range for shipment - From - 21 oct 2013 (pick the day before they said they shipped it just in case)

Date range for shipment - To - 24 oct 2013 (do today's date or 2 days after the day they said, because DHL doesn't always ship on the day that NVC gives it to them. In my case they did it the day after, the 23rd)

Account Number - LEAVE BLANK

Shipment Destination: Your fiances Country.

^Good luck, I got this from a friend && it worked for me to track it.

It's a bit complicated at first, but once you figure it out it'll work correctly.
