I'm talking about the folks who will designate them as Indian or black. It's the same thing for the Latinos that have to prove their ethnicity because they are mixed with African.

So anyone who is African is black?

I know several white African Americans

It's amazing folks don't understand the inherent disdain being black carries with it. Folks would rather get a blood transfusion from an extra terrestrial that would kill them instead of a black person that would save their lives.

That's just nonsense

I should have been more clear. If you skin color is dark enough to be construed as black, it's an issue.

And folks who are white from Africa aren't called African Americans:

I keep thinking about the Jefferson's episode when the KKK guy had the heart attack and GJ gave him CPR and saved his life. That guy said, you should have let me die. I've seen folks roll their eyes in disgust if they have to get help from a black person, or God forbid, if you know something they don't.

The worst one here was from some Koreans sadly enough. I dropped my wife off to get her nails done in the mall. It was about a month after she got here. I didn't go in with her since I wanted to do some looking around. When I came in to check to see if she was done, she introduced me to the girl doing her nails. I shook her hand, politely introduced myself, and told my wife I would get her some coffee since she was still waiting. When I came back and paid, we left. My wife said I never want to go back there. I asked why. She said, when I left the lady was shocked she was married to a black guy, that she should lock up her valuables and worry that I might hit her. I can't lie, I wanted to go back and give her the business, but I knew if I did that, I would be proving her right. So that place never gets our business again.

They declared that lady black because her great great grandmom was black. In that case I'm Indian.

No, she was declared "colored" because her parents were declared "colored" on their birth certificates. Her race on her birth certificate did not have to do with the one drop law (as was) but her parents' did. Seriously. The court would have had to have changed their racial designation on her parents' birth certificates, and she was unable to provide enough evidence to refute the racial designation. Even the jutsices clearly thought the law was ridiculous but as we all know, the law is frequently an a$s.

I did not say that because of race.

I agree Koreans are all prejudice(eye roll)

You do realize that blanket statement about Koreans is everything you rail against, when people say the same about blacks

Because if you didn't know, African American means black, and that's something most folks don't want to be a part of, even if their from African and American.

I didn't say Koreans were racist. I pointed out the lady that worked at the nail salon, I hold her responsible for her actions, not all Koreans.

Edit: I see my mistake, I said Koreans, not singular. Grammatical error, I'm sure you'll understanddevil.gif
