Oh, you guys. I just checked the mailbox and received my NOA2. This is less than 6 weeks since I received my NOA1. Not one RFE either. I am thrilled.

In fact I am slightly alarmed being I was hoping to file taxes for 2013 in order to present a more impressive case at the interview. I haven't filed in a long while being I wasn't required to.

Can anyone give me an idea just what my time frame is now in regards to when an interview would be taking place?

Thanks you guys at Visajourney.com . You guys have been great.

Oh, and I assume I need to wait to hear from the NVC next. Right?

There is a date range on your NOA2. That gives you 4 months for your fiance to get paperwork in then wait for an interview. I'm sure you'll be able to file your taxes if you do it before April 15.

My procedure was I received NOA2 and then my fiance got Packet 3 in the mail from his embassy. It went through the NVC, but I didn't get any information from them.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes the approval notice said the dates are valid from 11/7/2013 to 03/06/2014.

Do you have any idea if the interview needs to be scheduled within that period or if the interview must be completed in that period?

Thanks

Many K-1 visa filers got approved their I-129Fs are now faster than at past. The fastest one I've ever seen on VJ was 15 days from NOA-1. So I think your frame timeline is a normal.

I was approved in 38 days. Regarding about NVC, yes, your case file sent to NVC for more visa processing. You can wait for a few weeks to call both NVC and DoS (Visa Unit) to get your case number. I've got mine less than 2 weeks. Also you can wait NVC sent mail to the petitioner.

After you've got the case number, you can start check your visa status application on CEAC. NVC then sent your case file to listed consulate/embassy where the beneficiary will apply for visa. Good luck!

Thanks for all of the replies. I find this amazing at the moment.

One odd thing was I wasn't notified of the the NOA2 by email this time but by mail.

I see my NOA2 was approved on November 7th which made it 34 days from receiving the NOA-1.

Things are certainly moving quickly.

My fiance did not get email as well. I just found out the approval via USCIS website.
