Same thing happened with me. I called my nearest deferred inspection site and they were able to resolve the problem over the phone although they did tell me that if it couldn't be resolved over the phone I would need to go there in person.

Here is a link to the site that will tell you your closest deferred inspection site. Hope this helps.

they are phasing out the I-94 so it's very possible she was not given one. When I was in phone contact with a lawyer (before I decided to NOT use one) he was asking for my I-94 and I couldn't find it anywhere! He was quite frustrated with me and dramatic that I MUST find it, until he remembered that I was right that I was SURE I had never received one. This was back in February. I'm not sure when your wife went through point of entry but this info might help you.

They did not really 'phase them out'. They automated the I-94 so you get your info online instead of receiving a paper copy in your passport. > https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

Sure, sorry I thought it was obvious I was referring to OP's wife not receiving a hard copy of the I-94. Was giving my experience to reinforce that she was probably not mistaken in thinking she was never physically given the I-94.

The phrase 'phased out' was what the lawyer used. 'Phased out' is exactly what it is, as it started at a few points of entry first, then eventually all switched/will switch to this method.

And you are correct. They did phase out the use of paper I-94 forms. So, the wording in that case makes perfect sense. On that note, I am going to take my tired brain to bed now and make it rest and regain full comprehension levels. dead.gif
