You can do a "walk-in" if you are impatient and want biometrics over with as soon as you receive your bio notice. Other than that, your notice pretty much covers all info you need to know.

It's just a simple procedure of taking your fingerprints and photograph. Just make sure you take all the necessary documents. When I shown up for my original appointment the security guard would not let me through because I forgot to bring our marriage license (as I didn't think to bring it) to prove my name change so that it matched the name on the appointment letter. So that's my tip lol

Pretty simple, bring your appointment notice (I-797C) and passport. If not busy it will take only a few minutes.

Don't think it's a big issue to bring someone, there is security checking who enters.

You can bring someone with you as long as they have an ID but they can only go as far as the waiting area goes. There can be a separate area where they take your biometrics. Pretty much just a door separating the waiting area and biometrics area.

Your ASC appointment letter should state what you should and should not bring. Just read it. :) If the name on your the ID that you are presenting is different from the name on your appointment letter then just bring a proof of name change such as a marriage certificate.
