Hi gringasuramerican,i haven't received any yellow letter since jan 29 that i have put inline for interview. Maybe they don't need anything for me since i sent them more than what they've asked me..or they are just slow at my DO...

Not everyone receives a yellow letter. Some people receive it and some don't. As far as i know, it is a standard letter.

What is your local office?. Mine is Miami so i know i may have to do a little bit more waiting for my interview letter appointment as it is one of the busiest offices. Let's see if i get anything this week. Wishful thinking.

Hi gringasuramerican, My fiedl office is san bernadino in california..and it's 3 weeks now that i have been placed inline for interview, i have the feeling that we will receive that letter this week. Hang in there everybody as we become more impatient as we see the end of the tunnel. It's just human nature...almost there guys!!! And a blessed day to everybody

I've been reading posts but haven't got a chance to make a post. So here is my status:

Sent in my N400 on 12/19/13 under 5yr rule, 90 days in advance of my eligible date

Received by USCIS on 12/27/13

Fingerprint notice received on 1/7/14

Fingerprint done on 1/24/14

In line for interview on 2/18/14, exactly a month before the eligibility date

Yellow letter received on 2/18/14(dated 2/11/14) asking for drivers license and old passports

Waiting for the interview letter. My district office would be in Philly.

Got my interview letter today, my interview date is March 17th.

hey ...all the guys who already got the letter for the interview...did ur status message change?right now it says your in line for interview scheduling...if the letter is sent out will this message change to you have been scheduled and letter has been sent?

Yes when they change from in line it will clearly state that you have been schedule for interview and you should expect your letter with date.

My update looked like this. They didn't really say they sent me the letter, they said, I will receive a notice... Not sure if everyone's the same?

Finally!!! Today a month from my 5 year anniversary my hubbie and I placed in line for interview... RAZA stll waiting to see when they give you the date...

My update I got my yellow letter and all it stated is that I must bring my driver's license. I hope I get my schedule interview letter soon.

Question:

Got a yellow letter requesting me to bring my driver's license and all old passports. Is this common? I've heard people saying they need to bring driver's license, but do you also get request for old passports? Maybe it's because I traveled a lot to different countries? (all under 6 months though). Appreciate any response.

You have answered your own question. Maybe the IO wants to check the passport for all the travels. This letter changes a lot for everyone. do not worry. Just bring all the documents requested. Sometimes they do not even ask you see it.

I was waiting in line to get my interview letter for about two months from 12/16/13 to 2/14/14, I received an email and text that my letter is in its way, and this point I have not gotten, so something there is a long wait for them to send you the letter.
