guys i did my bio metric approximately one month ago and i have not seen any change, in terms of been place inline, two weeks ago i called USCIS and was told once we file within the 90 days period its not possible to have our status change until after the our anniversary date, so when its close to that date then they will schedule us for interview which is normally close to the anniversary date, due to the fact that some office do same day oath taking are as early as the day after, are a week after they try to make the hold process happen close to the anniversary, and one important factor is the processing speed of our local uscis office.

I also have not seen a change as to being placed "in line" for interview. My anniversary date in February 28th. Does this mean that i will be put in line for interview after that date?. And if the interview takes place about a month after being placed in line, does that mean i would probably have the interview by april? (if lucky), as my local office does not do same day oaths, i am probably looking at having the oath in May or June?.

What do you think?. I am getting really tired of waiting.

You will move to inline 30 days before the anniversary. Any interview set always has 30 days of lead time that way you interview will always be after your anniversary. So on Jan 28th it will move to inline and then it depends on your local office when you will get the interview letter

I don't think that the fact that u filed early has something to do when they put u in line...my guess is that they put u in line when the background checks are completed and it shouldn't have anything to do with ur anniversary date

This is not true fully. Yes you will be inline only after background is done either way.

But if you file 90 days before your anniversary and say you finished biometric after two weeks you file, there is noway your case will move to inline 30 days before anniversary even if the background check clears.

well the immigration officer I know told me it doesn't matter when u file...the files get worked on in the order received

and u normally cant do bio after two weeks u filed because it takes at least two weeks until u get the appointment notice....so appointment is normally 4 weeks after u filed

no. that is not true too. Take my case. My priority date is 9/11. I got the biometric on 9/21 and did a walk in on 9/24 and my case moved to inline on 9/26(i did not file 90 days before infact 2 years later)

I did my biometric less than 2 weeks.

I got my bio notice I think on the 26th of December...they mailed it out on the 24th...which was 11 days after the noa..so calculate the time for the mail to get to my house and u have the two weeks...but again u can see on jcarlos post that he is already in line right:-)

and I don't like to repeat myself but an immigration officer told me they work the cases in order they receive them independent of the eligibility date...and I put my trust in what the IO said ..

this is interesting as well. Guess i just have to wait and see...I did biometrics on January 2. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow and i am still not inline, so i guess just more waiting. I will update accordingly.

I don't believe ones gets to 'inline' status after background checks. I had my bio done on 01/03/14 which was a friday and I was put 'inline' on 01/07/14 which is the immediate Tuesday afterwards. How could they complete a background check in one business day? Seems very unlikely.

I am completely sure that this works the way you said it if you look on trackit the people who applied after their anniversary moves to inline within a week or even less, those like me who do it within the 90 days get moved 4 or 5 weeks before the anniversary date so I'm not getting my hopes up I know that in my case it will take another month to get moved to inline a friend of mine who recently became a citizen did the process in 100 days that's like a record and is probably because he filed way after his anniversary..: the good thing that I've seen is that the wait for us is not as long as for those who get moved right away is less than two weeks to be moved from inline to scheduled gringasuramerican yours will be probably moving within a week good luck y'all

Btw I read somewhere that back ground checks or at least the fingerprints results from FBI are done and over with in two days

I hope you're right. Let's see if this theory is true. If it is, I'm supposed to be moved to in line by January 31 since my anniversary date is February 28. I will keep you posted.
