Did he ask you that at the biometrics appt?

Living in NYC, I don't have this problem - I never drive, lol! I am actually planning to finally get a local license this year - so it was probably a good idea to wait hehe.

lol the officer today asked me about my speeding tickets and she asked me how many did I have when I said 4 she was pretty surprized lol.

Done today - 05/09/14! It's been a long journey... that I was more than ready to be done with it...

Oh so that's easy - just put on Part 7., item A. on the form that you have been outside of the US for "0" days.

I want to apply for naturlization, there is a point says" proves that the applicant was physically staying in the US for the last 30 month"

how do u prove that for them?

i have never been any where out side the US by the way. so is there any document or thing u guys do to prove u were in the US and never been abroad?

I am filing for citizenship under the 3-year married to an American citizen rule. I am applying on form N-400. I am confused about question 7 and would appreciate any guidance of clarification.

Question 7 reads:

A: How many total days did you spend outside the US in the last 5 years?

Since I am applying under the 3-year rule, that means that during the last 5-uears, I have been outside the US for 2 years (730 days). During the last 3 years, I have lived continuously in the US. However, the question asks for the last 5 years? Not really sure what to put.

Hey did you put your speeding tickets in the n400? Did they had a problem with you having 4 my husband has two speeding and two other tickets I think it was a stop sign and something about a trailers light I'm worried that they will ask him evidence for the ticket payments because it was over 4 years ago and in Florida we currently live in Texas so hopefully they won't ask too many questions on that

I answered no on the application and when the officer went with me over the application I asked her if that question includes stops by police. She told me yes, so I gave her the time I got them one of them I did remember only the year and she didnt want to see a proof of payment she said she is fine without it but she wanted go include the info about the tickets just to be safe.

Some field offices will do same day oaths depending on if they are doing oaths that day and if you complete your interview in time for them to get you on the oath roster and send your information down (usually before noon). To see if your field office offers same day oaths at all go to the uscis website and click the link that says find a uscis office. Once you find your office, it will tell you a description of services offered and i believe its near the bottom it talks about oaths.

If you complete your interview in time they will give you a notice or slip and tell you to come at a certain time for the oath. Most of the cases i have read about said they went to grab a quick snack and came back.

This is why i chose fairfax, va as my filed officer because in the description it specifically says:

Naturalization Ceremonies (Washington Field office)

The Washington Field Office rarely conducts same-day naturalization ceremonies but will do so for military N-400 filings, Section 319(b) N-400 filings, as well as on most N-400 re-examination days (second interview to pass the naturalization test).

MIMIGRANT, heres what the New York Office says:

Naturalization Ceremonies (New York City Field office)

The New York City Field Office Judicial Ceremonies approximately 3-4 times per week. Administrative Ceremonies are conducted most Fridays and on certain holidays and other special events. The New York City Field Office does not have same-day naturalization ceremonies.

What do you mean Goldfee111? I thought it took a few weeks/months from bio to interview? And then a few more for Oath? Do you have a special case?

What do you mean Goldfee111? I thought it took a few weeks/months from bio to interview? And then a few more for Oath? Do you have a special case?

in dallas they do oaths on Monday and Thursday wich means if I have my interview on one of those days and be done before noon then I will be able to take the oath on the same day...if not I am out of luck and have to drive back there when they give me an oath date..that would really suck bc its a two our drive in the dallas insanity traffic lol
