I would say that it's cheaper for USCIS to send a copy rather then printing it on the old style of papers. Saving money. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me lol.

If you are anxious to get your receipt number, sometimes they are printed on back of cancelled checks (which you can view online on your bank account statement).

Hello guys I see that some have gone to the fingerprint as walk in do you think that going before will speed up the process? Have any on you gone get fingerprinted here in Houston? I have two babies and I would probable have to take them with me that day will they let me go in with them? Thanks

Well despite being told my finger prints were good by the people at Nebraska, The officers in Washington has made me an appointment for fingerprints. I received a text and email today saying:

On December 24,2013 we mailed you an appointment notice to have your fingerprints taken. Please follow the instructions on the notice.

So as soon as I receive the notice im heading to the Military USCIS local office on base near where I live. And I believe that the sooner I get the fingerprints the sooner my background check will be complete and the sooner the reviewing officer will schedule an interview. ^_^

I think the dallas office doesn't do early walk ins but the biometric letter was mailed out today..so I should have it by Friday...I don't want to risk a two hour drive and then they might tell me no...so I go at my appointment date

I also heard that early walk in does not speed up anything, so even though i considered early walk in, i am now just ging to wait for my FP date, which will be on January 2. My elegibility date (or 3 year Anniversary) will be February 28th, and i hear that they do not even schedule you for the interview but only after your eligibility date, so for me that will be sometime in March or April.

So works better for me to just wait for January 2nd and then just wait.

Oh how i dislike waiting....
