I would say that it's cheaper for USCIS to send a copy rather then printing it on the old style of papers. Saving money. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me lol.

Well today will be the last day i can check my mail until the first so hoping the NOA gets here today. Tomorrow i start my christmas leave and we will be going an hour away to celebrate christmas with our family and wont be back till the 1st. So ill keep checking my email and waiting on the text if it ever comes lol ^_^ Even though i cheated and got my Reciept number before they even mailed it lol. Did it include the NOA/case number so you can add case to your USCIS profile online and then get following case updates?

I'm asking as I won't be home checking mail til Dec. 31st...

I have yet to receive a text or email. Ill let you know when i do. Im assuming it will come soon. I was able to get mine by calling the hotline and giving them my A# and they looked it up that way. Maybe you could do the same but each person that answers the phone has different levels of access so one person would be able to tell you every detail while one may not be able to tell you nothing without a reciept number. And everywhere in between. But ill let you know when i get the texts. They recieved my package on the 10th of december but the online receipt says it was received on Decmber 16th...so..

They recieve my package on 12-09-13, and i receive text an email on 12-13-12 which is 4 business day after they have receive the package and the email add my case # in the text and the email. And this is if you did the G-1145

Quick question: how long after sending the package did you guys get a text message/email notice?

Did it include the NOA/case number so you can add case to your USCIS profile online and then get following case updates?

I'm asking as I won't be home checking mail til Dec. 31st...

I received text and email about a week after sending the package. It did include the case number and i was able to check with that my case on the website. If you read my past posts you will see how soon it was after sending.

Received my NOA in the mail yesterday with a date of 12/12/13. Checking my online status says that they mailed out the biometrics notice on 12/18/2013.

Hey guys - I am so relieved! I'm glad I had sent an email to the Lockbox Support people in Lewisville on the 15th inquiring about the mistake the clerk made in my envelope.

They just replied to my email (!!!) saying they did receive it yesterday, and telling me the case number it was assigned, and also saying they will forward it to the National Benefits Center for further processing. Where/what is the NBC? - I forgot.

Oh just checked, and check was also cashed today. Updating status below.

smile.png Yay! Talk about efficiency!... I'm happy they have their stuff together and it seems my case won't really be delayed!

12-17-13: Received/Priority Date
12-19-13: NOA Date
12-20-13: Check Cashed
01-02-14: Bio Letter Sent Date (long time... not a good idea to send application before holidays...)

01-07-14: Bio Letter Rcvd'
01-20-14: Original Bio Date -- duh. they booked me on a Federal Holiday and the center was... closed.
03-07-14: Actual Bio Date (walk-in)

03-11-14: In line for Interview

03-12-14: Interview letter
04-17-14: Interview - Passed. Phew!

04-23-14: Oath Ceremony queue | scheduled (both at the same day)

04-26-14: Got Oath Ceremony letter in mail

05-09-14: (Friday) Oath Ceremony. Done! + Applied for US Passport Book & US Passport Card (expedited)

05-23-14: (Friday) American Passport Book received (via Priority Mail) after 2 weeks

05-27-14: Received back original Naturalization Certificate + American Passport Card in the mail (weirdly did not receive USPS tracking notifications for that)

Hey guys - I am so relieved! I'm glad I had sent an email to the Lockbox Support people in Lewisville on the 15th inquiring about the mistake the clerk made in my envelope.

They just replied to my email (!!!) saying they did receive it yesterday, and telling me the case number it was assigned, and also saying they will forward it to the National Benefits Center for further processing. Where/what is the NBC? - I forgot.

Oh just checked, and check was also cashed today. Updating status below.

smile.png Yay! Talk about efficiency!... I'm happy they have their stuff together and it seems my case won't really be delayed!

Good Morning:

Your N-400 was accepted by the lockbox on December 19, 2013, and receipt number NBC*xxxxxxxxx was assigned. The application will be sent to the National Benefits Center for further processing.

You can follow the progress of this application/petition by visiting our website, www.uscis.gov/tools, and clicking on “Check your case status online.” If you need additional assistance you can call USCIS Customer Service at (800) 375-5283 or use the InfoPass system on our website to make an appointment at your local USCIS office. Once a petition has been accepted, the Lockbox has no information on the adjudication process.
