Um, lets see....

My mother was pretty sure he was an internet stalker.

My boss kept calling him the 'mad bomber'.

The women I work with were just sure I had lost my mind.

My sister thought it was just a mid-life crises.

My dad was lost.....

They all love him now. Even my boss. He gave me fifty bucks the other day and said 'go out and have a nice dinner with your hubby'.

Oh I said what my parents thought - his parents never questioned it. They knew there was something in America that kept him coming back every year and they suspected it was a girl :) They didn't meet me until 10 days before the wedding but they adore me :) (who wouldn't heheehe) just kidding.

Now we just need my parents to meet his! now THAT will be a culture clash!

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

My brother-in-law, who is obsessed with sex, kept saying she probably works in a massage parlor giving hand jobs to western tourists. I had to put a stop to that real fast. Told him it was not funny and that what would be funny is my fist in his face. He stopped being rude.

Now he's come around and is looking forward to meeting her.

You know, no one has really looked sideways at it. My mom, when I first told her, just asked if I was "being careful" in a kind of vague way, and my family met him and liked him and all. Maybe because we met kind of "accidentally" online--we didn't meet through a dating/matchmaking site (not that there's anything wrong with that), so maybe my family didn't really think there was a chance he could preying on innocent young American girls as much...?

But yeah, I haven't had any grief about it.
