That is a very interesting discussion :). I kept my last name for different reasons: First my parents are from Greece but I was born and raised in Germany. Since my first name is a really old fashioned greek name, It would just sound funny to have my first name with a English last name. Second and also important, I want our last name to be carried over as well, we were only girl in the family so I was the last hope hehe. Our child will also have a double last name to make it all easy :).

03/14/2012 ~ Received Green Card in the Mail

11/22/2013 ~ Check cashed

11/25/2013 ~ NOA 1 receipt date 11/20/2013

12/02/2013 ~ Biometrics appointment 12/26/2013

12/26/2013 ~ Biometrics appointment done

09/12/2014~ Approved - Card in Productioin

09/15/2014~ Letter of approval received

09/20/2014~ Card received....yipiiiiieeeee

What would it be sooooo important to a husband that their wife gives up HER identity? It seems Like property they feel they have to put their name on it, so nobody steals their toy?... I really don't
