No respond to expedite request?

when we called the USCIS they told us that when filing a request get your i-130 expedited you wont hear anything unless the deny your request, so is it a good sign that we haven't heard anything one week after we filed our request? we did it both over the phone and faxed it to them.
I have also contacted the USCIS ombudsman and the senator in washington state, as we are extremely desperate and in extreme need of getting our petition expedited.

what do you guys think?

Its been over 30 days and I haven't heard anything about my expedite. And I did my expedite due to deployment. And I talked to a tier 2 person and there no help. But im going to call every day until someone tells me something.

when we put in for expedite request they right away had us fax documents proving why it was needed i would call again and find out what happened or do an info pass

I have faxed all the supporting documents and a long letter stating why we need it to be expedited..

we had to wait almost two months to get a decision from them........

Make sure you call and confirm that your expedite request was submitted as an expedite. When I filed ours it was submitted originally as a normal request for contact from the NBC which added an additional two weeks to the approval timeframe. I found this out strictly by accident when I called to find out what was going on and the Tier 2 told me that it was submitted incorrectly.
