As a proud member of the NRA, i think they should call on protesters to practice good common sense and be respectful of others. That having been said, it is legal to open carry in Texas. I am not surprised, you really don't have a common sense defense for the actions of these thugs because there quite simply isn't one. Carrying a weapon to a protest is not the action of a rational human being, it's pretty hard to defend the irrational isn't it?
