Hey All:

A friend of mine was asking this from me, but I have absolutely no clue so I though I'd ask here. So, long story short she got her green card through AOS (don't know what base, but it's not relevant for this question anyway). Now, at the time when she was doing her AOS no one took away her I-94, or stamped her visa in her passport as "canceled without prejudice". Now, this passport since then expired, and she has obtained a new passport (of her national passport- she's just a GC holder, not a US citizen). She has not gone home to her home country for a while now and she was thinking of doing so over this upcoming holiday season. She knows very well that she needs her passport and GC to come in and out of the country. But what she is confused of is that usually the I-94 card is surrendered when one exits the country. However, she is a GC holder now, not a visa holder, so she was wondering if she should still rip out the I-94 card from her old passport (it's stapled in the passport), or should she take her old passport along with the I-94 and her new passport and GC, or she could just forget about all those and just go with her new passport and GC? What do you guys suggest, or experienced in this situation? Thanks in advance!

I-94 is not required to exit. Her I-94 is only a souvenir. It's old and dead now.

She just needs her new passport and GC.
