I have some questions for people who are going through the embassy in honduras. It seems as if my situation is different from many. My fiance is in honduras and we have 3 children together. We have been together for almost 3 years. He is only spanish speaking so i am worried on how he will prepare his end of the paperwork considering it all needs to be in english. Is there someone in honduras that can translate and help him with this. I am also hoping with our situation he will get to come home quickly. Thanks for all the help. Im sure i will have more questions too.

I am in the same situation. On the embassy website. They have four different translators. I called and got two people to answer. But since I don't know exactly what we need to translate they couldn't really give me a price. My spanish is very broken and my fiance only speaks spanish. I got an email from the embassy saying they have received my approved petition. And they will send an email with appoitment. I was going to do the DS 160 and mail it to him.

I thought it could only be e-filed. If it doesnt then i will do the same by mailing it. I thought that i saw that everything needed to be translated into english as well. Im not sure but when you find out please let me know. Are you going with him to the interview? How long has this taken you so far? And what do you use to mail things to him? I am thinking fedex i will use. Thanks!

Yes everything has to be translated to english. Which is the police report. I think us the petioner will receive the panket 3 & 4 directions. Yes the DS 160 is online but I think there is an option for the petitioner to do it. My bf went for his passport today. But the computers are down. He already wants to go back home. But I cant afford the trip again. I asked him to wait. But I will see. Then I can go ahead and finish the form. If not a translator will need him to help him with the police report and ds160. Someone with knowledge please come help us.

I started August 5, 2013. You can see my timeline. The Honduras Embassy has received my approved petition. I received by e-mail. Also stated I will be contacted two to three months for an appointment via e-mail. I have a the same as you single with his baby. But he is going to be banned from the United States and we wull have to file a I 601. We were approved in 64 days.

Who was banned from the us your fiance? Oh my for what?

Yes he is banned for ten year for unlawful presence. God is amazing. We could be granted the visa because he has never had problems with immigration. But he was here illegal for five years. And we have been honest. I an still searching for a cheap translator. I will let you know if I find one. The ones I talked to are in Tegucicuplia

How did he get the ban? Mine was here in the states previously as well for about 5 years but he has never had any problems with the police or immigration. Oh sheesh i might have to fill this wavier out as well since i was honest as well and put it in the letter. Gosh thats more money as well. What evidence did you add for the wavier? You know our fiances probably know each other....jijiji

The waiver comes after the embassy interview. The united states will find my bf inadmissable for ten years. Then we will file the waiver for permission for him to come back. We have to prove extreme hardship. Well I have sent ten thousand dollars in the last two years. We have a son together. The country is poor. 2/3 of children live in poverty. I will have to prove that I will be in hardship if the us does not him come back. The I 601 costs 585 dollars. The embassy will state if your bf is admissable and if he can file the form. My bf was here for five years. Had troubles with the police but nothing more. He has been gone two years now. He left on his own. Did you pay a lawyer? I haven't yet but I am going to for the waiver. I need him back here asap. It is really putting a toll on me. All my money is going to him to help him survive.

Yes i hired someone to help me and she said i would not need to do any waviers at all. So i guess i will find out when i get that far. Mine also left on his own and its been really hard for me and our 3 kids together. Im in just the beginning stages so atleast your in the embassy stage. Since he left i have no extra money. Only to pay my mortage. So i understand how you feel. I actually called and they said they would expedite my case since the living and everything is so bad in honduras. I am really scared for him to be there at all. I hope we both just get lucky. And they get to come back soon. I know its been very hard on me. Especially since i cant even call my fiance right now as there is no cell phone service where his parents live. My fiance left because he wanted to see his family and his two kids there. Now i wish he would have waited.....

I hope so too. Today I am begging my bf to stay in La Ceiba for his passport. The computer broke yesterday when he had his appoitment. :( he wants to go home but it cost me a hundred dollars for him to go and now he is broke he wants to leave and no passport :( he lives on a ranch no mail no internet nothing. He owns eleven now cows. I just bought a pregnant cow. Because his cows are not producing milk anymore. Yes it is a very sad and hard country. The law states if you are in the country for more than one year illegal that person will be banned from the United States for ten years. The immigration person that conducts the interview. Will have to find your bf inadmissable. And then he can file the waiver. A lawyer has told me INCORRECT INFORMATION that a fiance can not file a I 601 form. But yes a fiance can file a fiance petition for a I601 form. SEE SPECIFIC DIRECTIONS. I want to do it aline butvscared of USCIS.

Can i ask what kind of police contact he had? I am not sure that i will have to go through the samething as the lady i am working with has helped people with immigration cases for over 20 years and she said i wouldnt need to do any waviers so it would save me some money. Do you know for sure they are going to tell him that? That would stink as i am getting my case expedited so he can come back here faster as it is so bad there he wants to come home.

That is a whole different story his police record. Will not hurt him. It is he was here illegal for five years. You can read the directions on the first page of I601. You were honest about him being here illegal. Yall have your babies here I am guessing. So it will be up to the consular if they want to approve. Or find him inadmissable. You don't need to file a waiver at this point. She is correct. It will be the day of his interview. I pray all day and night. The country is sad and very dangerous. All you can do is wait right now.

Very true. You are correct we will just have to wait and see. We have a house here and 2 cars as well. His life is here and he wants to come back now so badly. He wished he would have never went. My bf has cows as well but not sure how much money that is brining in for him. I just hope that when i send him papers and evidence and they see it all they will think differently about him returning back here. But if anything i can get evidence of him being a great worker and things like that. I dont work as i am a stay at home mom. I have three kids with him and then 2 others so 5 in total. If he doesnt get to come back real soon then i am going to be in some finacial troubles and i dont want to loose our house.
