hello dear vj members,

here is my situation ...my husband filed for my immigration visa back in feb this year we recently had our interview at Islamabad embassy and counselor said that we need a joint sponsor I have two kids who have their us passports my husband is living here with me and kids for last seven years we filed three year taxes and he is making way more than poverty line inspite of this we added our assets too which are house cars etc but she still gave me 221g for joint sponsor now one of our friends is ready to do it for us his income is around 30k now I want to know when he will be filling household size would it be just me and him or he has to include all of us????

Yes his household number plus you is all.

If he has kids, even if they do not live with him, he still needs to count them.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

thanks guys for your input....actually my joint sponsor files his taxes and his wife files her individual tax both separetly... his two sons are married and not dependent on him at all...so can he just add me or he has to count his wife as well?

He would still have to count the spouse as the household size. But the adult children need not to be counted.
