Saying the same thing in different ways does not make what you are saying different. The issue is, did the candidate lie to the electorate to appear more electable? Yes, he did. If he did, is it reasonable for the voters to be frustrated by the deception? Yes. Everything else being said is speculation and most of the speculation reflects badly on the speculators.

My biggest beef with him as a candidate was that he wasn't prepared to actually outline specific policies that the American public were supposed to base their decision on. If you take a wander down memory lane I am quite sure my posts about his lack of transparency over what he exactly promised the electorate are on record for all to see.
