Hi all,

I would like to have an advice rather a suggestion from all you. My Fiancé; he is from India and I am from USA , our last petition ( K1) got denied in the month of Aug 2013 from Mumbai Consulate. We have filed a new petition once again in Oct 2013 and we have done a little bit our home work on the different consulate office like Mumbai and Delhi and we have found that Delhi do allow his Foreign Fiancé to attend the Interview whereas Mumbai doesn’t do so .

We don’t want to face any more negative result over again so we have resolute to take all the precaution to make into positive result. I have decided to attend interview this time with him. As per the recent conversation with USCIS department our file is still in review.

Hence we want to know or a advise to help us what steps should we take to have our petition to be forward to Delhi Consulate rather than Mumbai Consulate. If anyone has been through this situation please help us to take a measure steps before they decide.

Regards,

WlovesS

You can request it to be transferred but they may or may not allow it to happen. I don't know if the chances are good they'll let you move a petition to an place 1500km away on the grounds that it's easier to get approved there, in fact I'm pretty sure you'd have to give them a fairly compelling reason to move it.

Someone who knows the India process better can come in and correct me and give you more information though.

Hi All,

We are still waiting for helpful counsel on our situation, as it’s been mention above. We just wanted to share an opinion that has been to these two consulates (Mumbai & Delhi) and about attending and interview with fiancé. What the major step do we take it to get transferred to Delhi Consulate or we should keep it to Mumbai Consulate.
