Yes. Far over budget and years behind schedule.

And people expected Obamadon'tcare to be the one thing government did well. This country has aricraft companies that make fine aircraft and perform well for commercial purposes. ONLY when the government gets involved does it take SO long and cost SO much to build an airplane.

Good news...if they ever get the things in service, there will be 24 F-35s stationed in Burlington. The Quebecois better not get any ideas!

Everything else is a goat schtup. The Obamadon'tcare.gov website is a goat schtup, a hacker can get your VERY personal information "in seconds"...but the insurance will be GREAT!

Trouble is, the LockMart F-35 Thunderpig program started under the Clinton administration, but the requirements weren't set by the government. For that, you can thank the USAF, USN and USMC, all of whom want it to do different things, but using the same basic airframe.

Can you imagine the cost of 3 different programs?

I do that so people who have nothing to contribute to the topic have something to comment on. I occasionally throw in a misspelling for the same reason.

The spacebar on the Cyrillic alphabet keyboard works perfectly, but since I am addressing people who have difficulty with writing more than an inane short sentence in one language, and TOS rules prevent using anything but English for the language impaired, I do not usually use it for VJ posts.
