You do not need to put an address on the letter of intent. Period.

You are confusing her. She does not need an address on the letter of intent

Doesn't need an address, not for the ones that go along with the I-129F petition, and not for the updated ones that will be needed for the K-1 interview. The format I posted in this thread works. It is not required to put an address or use a formal letter format for your statements of intent to marry, period.

I am not trying to confuse anyone I am stating the fact that the example forms supplied by VJ call for an address, perhaps you should consider the fact that some is actually USING them. Everyone saying you don't need it when there is one on the form is where the confusion lies.

I stated in my post it is not needed but would not hurt if it was there. headbonk.gif

Yes, the example form shows that you can add the address for your filing location or embassy depending on what you are using the letter of intent for. It is just an example/sample of what someone could do for their letter of intent. The samples I posted in this thread are basically the example found here on VJ but without the addresses on them. Nowhere in the I-129F instructions does it state the letter of intent must be in formal letter format. They just mention a statement. The examples are just here to help people out and use as an outline/guideline. Of course people use them. That is what they are there for. That is why if people are confused and ask about the addresses on them, they are told an address is not even required, to use one or don't. It really, truly won't matter at all.

From the I-129F instructions > http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

b. Submit evidence that you and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 days of your fiancé(e)'s entry as a K-1. Evidence of your intention to marry may include a statement of intent to marry.
