hello,

I share this account with my Fiance, Cameron. And my name's Wa :) nice to meet you all

I am recently having problem filling out my fiance letter of intent on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services[ADDRESS OF FILING LOCATION], I don't know which address should I be putting on, my fiance's living in CA and some of Thai girls who's in the same field as me said that I should put the address of the TX uscis onto it, but I want to make sure that I am not doing anything wrong, So I am here asking you guys on which one should I be use to fill it out, and what address will it be.

Thank you so much

Wa,

No worries. It likely doesn't even need an address. What is important is that each of you provide a signed letter of intent with your initial I-129F petition. We put the USCIS Lewisville, TX lockbox address on ours, and had no issue.

Good luck.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

"Si vis amari, ama" - Seneca

We didn't put an address in ours. We only used an address on the cover letter, and for that we used the Dallas Lockbox as our packet was going to be mailed there.

The K1 journey:                                                                                                                             The AOS journey:

11/09/2013 - I-129F Packet mailed to Dallas Lockbox                                                                                         06/22/2015 - AOS packet mailed to Chicago Lockbox

02/14/2014 - Case shipped to Embassy, where it waited for over a year at my request                                 11/07/2015 - AOS approved (EAD and AP had already been approved) - there was no interview

05/21/2015 - Interview - Approved

06/19/2015 - Wedding (L)

The ROC journey:

10/12/2017 - ROC packet mailed to VSC

01/21/2019 - ROC Approved - there was no interview

The N-400 journey:

02/16/2020 - N-400 application filed online

02/21/2020 - Paper NOA received in the mail

03/13/2020 - Biometrics

02/02/2021 - Interview & test - Approved

02/05/2021 - Oath Ceremony

I would send it to him and let him include it in his packet. You never know if they will misplace it if it's mailed separately; I have little faith in their processes. Best bet: let him include it in the I-129F packet. :) Best of luck!

Make sure you send him a spare signed copy with original signature. USCIS lost mine and luckily I had my fiancé sign 2 while I was there so it was no problem when I got a RFE. I was able to put it back in the mail that evening and not having to wait.

I would would send two (2) set of everything that you have to sign cause there are at times that USICS loses something.

No address are required on the letters of intent. That is just a formality. You can put the Dallas lockbox address, or no address at all.

These samples work perfectly >

What they are interested in, is your sworn statement, of your intent and to whom it is intended for, use your personal address at the time of writing, and his address that is used on all your K-1 paperwork, would be my suggestion.

Best of luck, I would only hope all K-1's turn out as happy as me and my wife from Cebu, Philippines are!

To add an address or not...what to do...some say do it some say don't.

While it is not REQUIRED, if you are using the sample forms that so many people say to use on this site that show an address, you could go either way.

Since many have passed following the GUIDES and using the sample forms, do what they ask.

If this letter if for filing for approval use the address where you are sending the paperwork, if it is time for the interview at the embassy use the consulate address.

It seems a much more appropriate "letter" to address those that are receiving it rather than making a quick "jotted down note" format.

You do not need to put an address on the letter of intent. Period.

You are confusing her. She does not need an address on the letter of intent

You can pretty much make up an address and it's not going to matter.

Doesn't need an address, not for the ones that go along with the I-129F petition, and not for the updated ones that will be needed for the K-1 interview. The format I posted in this thread works. It is not required to put an address or use a formal letter format for your statements of intent to marry, period.
