Keep the envelop and passport safe with you when you travel and there shouldn't be any problem. Assuming your Port of entry is at JFK you can read some reviews here.

Be sure you scheduled enough time to get through immigration and customs before your connecting flight, if any. It can take a few hours and sometimes planes are late. Of course, it's not that you can't get on another flight but it's confusing enough coming to a new country. Also be sure you bring some snacks for you because you might not like the food that's offered in the airports, especially if you have religious or cultural considerations. You also might want to ask your fiance to provide you with a calling card or some way you can get in touch with him once you land in the US in the event there is any kind of delay. My phone was stolen last time I traveled and let me tell you, nobody would lend me a phone to use and my wallet was also stolen so I had no credit card for the pay phones. The airport I was in did not have free wi-fi and without my credit card... well it was stressful so see if ya'll can figure out a way to communicate before you have the need for it! Best wishes!

My fiancée arrived on November 7. I went over November 3 to bring her back; when we arrived at Chicago POE it could not have been easier. I stepped up to the IO, and said, "I am re-entering the US, and bringing my fiancée and son on a K-1 and K-2." The officer said, "Bring them forward." He opened up the visa packet, went through the forms, stamped in a few places, said, "You're good, welcome to America."

Only took a couple of minutes more than if I was entering solo.

Bring in as much money as you can...there are small things that you do not realize you will miss, that you will then need to buy. For us, we are trying to find a source for some of the foods she is familiar with, that we here in the US do not think of. Millet, for example, or special flour. Also, public transportation is waaaaayyy more expensive here than in your native country.

Good luck! I wish you all the best of luck!

Now that we are reunited, I feel like I am living in a dream. It is SOOOOOO worth what you are going through.
