OMG so stressed out...My fiance, traveled to her home town to ready for November 12, and she has trouble with a form she does not have.. I dont know about this till yesterday. She asked me what is DS 260 confirmation page.
she sent me a picture of the paper, it has DS 230 with a line through it, and handwritten in it says DS 260 confirmation page. Where do we find this? Please Help...

You have to call the NVC and get your NVC Case number and your invoice number. Then fill the DS-260 out online and print the confirmation page. My fiance's internet is spott at times so I filled the DS-260 out for him, verifying all the info of course! and then emailed him a copy of the confirmation page to print. This should be done ASAP. Now some embassies still want the DS-160 (the older form) and some have went ahead and switched to the online DS-260. It's frustrating! We ended up doing both; at first embassy told us the old way then said no new way. I did both and glad I did because they actually asked for some of the old forms!

It's crazy and I wish they could all get on the same page. If you can't get through today (I don't remember if they are open on Sundays or not) do it first thing in the morning and be sure you get both NVC case number and invoice number. Best of luck!

omg....seems like they would have mailed that number to me....now i have only 1 day to try to get this and it will be night time for her monday night and interview is tuesday....

really worried now

I've got my case number less than 2 weeks from approval date by phone. The letter from NVC arrived at my fiance's mail box a week later and contains my receipt number and case number as well. On NVC's letter stating I have to filled out DS-160 form to apply K-1 visa meanwhile waiting for packet 3 from US embassy in Jakarta.

It could well be the DS-160. Remember that the K-1 is a nonimmigrant visa with immigrant intent. This has tripped up a lot of people here lately.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I thought you have to send the confirmation sheet together with P3 checklist before they schedule an interview for you?

Our packet 3 requested the DS-160. Not the 260


You can call NVC to get the number. NVC should have sent you a letter containing the informations that you need. Anyways, one Malaysian member recently filled in the DS-160 form, so, to be on the safe side, why don't you fill in both and print out the confirmation sheet?

I thought you have to send the confirmation sheet together with P3 checklist before they schedule an interview for you?

You take the confirmation sheet with you to the interview. The only thing you send back with the packet is part 1 of the DS-230, the checklist, and a copy of your passport.

they sent you the wrong checklist. That is for a spousal visa, as it is also requesting the I-184.

For K-1 they need the DS-160 and the I-134
