Hello guys I'm new here. I appreciate the information I have gotten so far here. My dad is a us citizen and he filing for green card for me. I just got my approval letter from the uscis service yesterday and I was approved way back in February. The case was started last year September. Can someone tell me what next to do? I haven't received anything from nvc? Is this normal? Please help. Thanks.

Follow the guides at the top if the page.

Sorry I'm new here, what guides are you talking about?

how old are you ? It make a difference in your wait time

I just turned 22 but it was filed before my 21st birthday. Do I need to call NVC? It's Sunday so tomorrow. But I'm hoping to get some info on here.

There is a tab qt the top called guides. So if you are 22 now you need to calculate if CPSA makes you a child or an adult. What date was it filed, what date did it get approved and what date is your birthdate better yet use this calculator http://www.visajourney.com/content/childpet

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

NVC shouldn't take long as long as your father submits everything quickly. I am actually the US wife of a Nigerian who is now a US citizen.

Ask yer petitioner to check in with USCIS and ask if the casefile was sent on to NVC or NRC.

Then ask yer petitioner to check in with NVC and see if they've received the casefile.

'check in' = use a telephone.

for 'what's next' - is exceptionally difficult to tell you, until you know where the casefile is.

Being approved in February seems troublesome, I would lean towards 'casefile went to NRC' but since you are in the immediate category, it should have gone straight to NVC.

So, engage with Dad, tell him he needs to use a telephone, and find out where the casefile is,

on TUESDAY, 12 November 2013. 11 Nov is a federal holiday - ain't nobody working.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks! I called him and he had no idea of NVC :/ I almost got mad at him because even I that isn't American I know the process. Well he had just sent me the hard copy of the notice of action yesterday, Which is approved. Checked online too. It's say 'post decision activity'. He's a busy man so he had his lawyer do everything for him, guess thats why he has no clue. so I will probably call both the NVC and his lawyer on Tuesday. Thanks a lot for the heads up.
