Hey all!

So, I think this is a really stupid question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I want to double check!! On the I-864 form, in part 2 about the principal immigrant - I assume we put (what will be when I get there) my address in the States and not my address from the UK?! We're not filing it yet as I only got approved for my visa the other day, but we are just forward planning and get stuff in order now, so when I get there in January we can file it all as soon as we get married.

Thanks!!

AOS is starting over with a new process. Forget anything you did for the petition and visa. Approach it like they are your first forms ever, and you are a married lady living in the US.

So you will have a new last name, a previous name used (maiden), an address in the US, and be married and unemployed on all your AOS forms, depending on what each asks for.

No it's asking for your current address, not the address where you will live. You cannot live there until you're granted the visa which isn't until after the interview. (You're thinking of the petition that was approved, not the visa.) Try to think of everything as "right now" unless it specifically asks you about the future.

She won't be doing adjustment of status forms until after she arrives in the US and gets married. This isn't for her K1 visa. When she submits the I-864, she will have already moved to the US.
