Hi guys,

I have recently got my passport and the yellow immigration packet, I was told to pay the immigration fees online of USD 165 before my entry into the US and for that I should have my DOS case number and A number.

Now my query is that I do have the DOS case number but I havent been assigned with any A number, only A number I got is the onw which is on my NOA 2 but when I attempt tp submit my information on the USCIS ELIS site - it says that the number is invalid.

Please help where should I get my A number from? urgent feedback required please.

Another question is that - I haaver been issued a K1 visa and thinking to have all the vaccination in prior from my home country which will be required for changing my status there - any suggestion wchich vaccinations will be required at the time of getting the greencard and will it OK if I get my vaccinations done from my home country and take a vaccination report to the US.

Thanks alot in anticipation - your help will be of great deal. TC

I don't think you have to pay the $165 immigration fee - K1s are exempt from that.

Did you get any vaccinations done at the time of your K1 medical? You should have been provided with a vaccination record, form DS-3025 - you can get a civil surgeon to transcribe it on your I-693 when you are adjusting status. There's a helpful FAQ here on the vaccination supplement required for AOS: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/101202-faqs-forms-i-693-and-ds-3025/

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

A number is Alien number.

You must recived a letter with your passport and pack parcel USCIS where u find your DOS and Alien no

When you log in and filling USCIS ELIS form and paying fee you just need to add A0 in start i.e A0666666

Your A# is found on your NOA2 I-129F approval notice near the beneficiary's name. A K-1 does NOT pay the $165 immigrant fee. A K-1 is a non-immigrant visa.

From the USCIS website about this > http://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-immigrant-fee

Exemptions

Children who enter the United States under the Orphan or Hague adoption programs, Iraqi and Afghan special immigrants, returning residents (SB-1s), and those issued K visas, are the only categories exempt from paying the fee.
