hello.. please fill in your timeline... also, you can arrive a day early in Juarez and get it from the window... I believe they open at 6:30am.... or maybe the same day your fiance has the medical.... I am not sure if they ask for it at the ASC but for sure at the medical place and for the interview... good luck!!

That is a risk when scheduling the appointments for a different city when you have not received the letter from CDJ yet. Some have been allowed to do their ASC appointment without the invitation letter, but others have not been so lucky. Try contacting your local ASC location and ask if it can be done without the letter, since you have not received it as of yet. If not, you may be able to reschedule your ASC to be later in Juarez around the time of your medical and interview. That way you can get the letter printed off at the consulate and be able to attend all your necessary appointments.

I (the US citizen) received the invitation letter 30 days later after Cuidad Juarez received our package from the National Visa Center. My wife who at the time lived in Mexico City received the letter almost 60 days later. We really did not expect her to receive the letter in Mexico City due to the bad postal system. From what I could tell it appears someone from the Consulate's office in Cuidad Juarez drives to El Paso maybe once a month and mails the invitation letter. That is what I noticed on the post mark on the letter I received. I simply scanned the letter I received and sent it to my wife (then finacee) in Mexico City via email. She printed the letter and that is what she took to Ciudad Juarez and had zero problems.

I agree with what Kay said as I have see the same thing posted on VJ.

God Bless

if they sent it to you in May and you still have not received it, you most likely will not receive it anymore.... so find out from the ASC and/or do what I told you about getting the letter at the consulate ... and good luck....

Great news!!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend just recived the letter!!!!!! It will be ok if only print it out? he sent it by email!!? that will be enough?

Yay! Yes, he can just email it to you and you print it out. That is all you need. You will need it for the ASC, medical and interview, so might want to print out extra copies in case you lose one along the way. Good luck! smile.png

Thank you thank you!!!biggrin.png

one last question, how I should present my evidenci of relationship, I have Facebook chats, I have a boarding pass for him coming to visit me and itineraries of the two of us in some more trips around Mexico, some Skype chats and many pictures, I was thinking of putting it all in a folder and put names and date of each thing something like a book, that wiil be correct/ok?? and will be proof enough! OHH one more thing I have not an engagement ring yet this will be a problem?

Thank you in advance!!smile.png

You can just organize it in a folder so you know how it is all laid out and you can find anything you need easily if they ask for it. If you have photos together with your friends and family, those are the best ones to show. Sounds like you have plenty of each type of evidence. They may not even ask for any. Approvals without asking for any other evidence happens fairly often. Having it on hand in case they ask for it is the best plan. Also, no need for an engagement ring. It is not a requirement. If they did happen to ask about one, just be honest and tell them you only plan on having actual wedding rings, or you will pick out an engagement ring together after you are in the US, or whatever is your honest reason.
