We communicated through skype - longgggg calls that would last for days (My laptop is a trooper!) lol

We met on a site called BLOGTV but that site is gone now unfortunately :(

We don't really have chat logs and never used email. I do have emails from his mom though that she's been sending to us for the past 1.5 years that he has been living here in Ireland with me?

Will i need to print out the proof of calls? Our names weren't our actual names on skype though, we used nicknames.. will this matter?

I may have phone bills.. will have to have a look! :)

Thanks!

Don't print all the logs. Use sampling depending on the duration of your relationship. In my case from meeting my wife to 130 filing was about 3 years, so I took screen shot of skype chats/calls during the initial time (1 sheet), then another screen shot for the time of our engagement, next one between engagement and wedding and then at every six month interval. This will be enough and it shows the constant connection rather than just one or two. In my case, my wife's actual name name was not on the screen shot but both our pictures were there. You can highlight dates.

Rule of thumb: when you make these secondary evidences, make sure the officer who looks at these gets the idea that your are trying to convey. They would appreciate us making their life easier. For eg, when you take screen shots, you could highlight one date in the log and as I said before if you use periodic logs, then they can skim through it and understand that you have kept in touch and you have provided a sampling of the timeline. Think from the perspective of a stranger reading it.

I am not sure if the email from mom would be useful. It's better not to have it (no specific reason)

Same with phone logs. Provide periodic logs for the whole time frame.

Also, I redacted all the messages; only relevant info like name and date and duration was allowed, I blacked-out the rest. They can ask NSA to provide my personal messages to my wife.

On a second thought, the emails from mom might be good, since it shows family connection, but I suggest some other second opinion.

My husband and I also don't used our real names in any of our communications or on our day to day lifes, we use nicknames. We just included a note on our cover letter with the I-130 package. Hope that helps.

Please note: On all of our online corrispondence and day to day communication, we both use our nicknames, neither of which are legal names. B**** is used by myself, the petinioner, (husband's full name) and G***** is used by the beneficiary, (my full name).

Thank you so much! You have been very helpful! I can not thank everyone on here enough!!

Since you live together, you could add your lease, utility bills etc. as evidence.

Other than that- I agree with everything scienceworks said :)

You can check out my cover letter too : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/449862-last-few-questions-before-filing/

Oh and remember that down the road your husband will need to prove his U.S. domicile.

While I submitted a lot, it doesn't mean that you have to ;)

I only filed two months ago, so not sure if I will be issued any RFEs.. hope not. Spent soo much time researching how to put this petition together.

He will need to file his tax returns anyways, I think? It is my understanding that I-864 asks for tax returns for the 3 most recent years.

Someone please chime in.

Unfortunately, we are living at my parents house so we don't have a lease etc.

While we do pay rent, I don't get receipts - I'm going to have to look into getting these.

Wow- Your cover letter, you sent alot! Did you get an RFE? I hope not!

We are sending 21 pages in total (with out photographs)

My husband has been living here with me for the past 1.5 years and hasn't filed a tax return in 2/3 years.

He hasn't worked while living here, will this be a problem? sad.png

One is supposed to file returns even while working outside. However if you make below a limit ( ~$8000) for single you don't owe any tax and hence no need to file. Therefore, in his case I think, the second might apply. While filing i-864, he will need to explain why he didn't file the returns.
