passport and yellow packet received. no visa in passport

Has anyone heard of a case in manika where the embassy mailed the yellow packet to be surrendered to us immigration and the passport but forgot to print the visa in the passport? Ceac says ap still. Ustraveldocs say out for delivery. My fiance jus got it in the mail saturday. No denial letter or 221g. Jus no k1 visa in the passport.

The consular officer was a crabby one. When she asked if we're approved he jus said depends. When she was called the last time they verified the correct name and mailing address and said congratulations welcome to america. This is crazy to me

Just sounds to me like a very annoying administrative/clerical error. I would email the consulate first, and explain the situations. If they're bad at responding to emails, do as Darnell said and write up a well crafted, polite cover letter and mail it to them along with the passport.

If it makes you feel any better, it seems much more likely that they simply forgot to stamp the visa, than actually sending you the yellow packet (virtually your entire physical case file) in error.

I'm sorry to say the obvious but are you sure you went page by page?

When Juliet got her passport the visa was in the middle--and at first she thought there was no visa since she saw empty pages, but then, there it was.

Just in case your fiancee might have not gone page by page it might be worth another look. That would be an easy fix.

Nope. There is absolutely nothing in it. I had her go page by page on skype with me. Cause I couldn't believe it. No visa. Major major mess up. I've already emailed them and I'm calling them Tuesday morning when they open from veterans day. The annoying thing is I believe they don't take walk ins for visa corrections. So we do have to mail it to them then wait for them to correct it then mail it back. So we get to apart a bit longer cause of the USEM.

Definitely call them and ask for an explanation and then update us. It truly is bizarre.
