Took wife to J.C. Penny today. Signs advertising the J.C. Penny cares program. Clerk asks would I like to round up my purchase to help feed kids. I said sure, I am all about helping kids. After this I asked- So J.C. penny gives our Money to a different charity every month in their name, because they care? Why don't they give their money if they care so much. Clerks start laughing, wife turns red. So I ask the clerk, if she makes 9.00 an hour or better.She says no and she can only get part time. I ask does she have kids. She said yes two. I said how do you support two kids on that. Government assistance. So J.C. Penny cares enough to donate customers donations, in their name,collected by a clerk who can't make enough to feed her kids, while advertising their social love and caring. Something is very wrong in America folks. P.S. I am still in the dog house.

dude..when we go shopping I find a chair and up U.S Navy fighters landing competition the Iphone

Wife made in Cebu, not sure about clothes.

With coupon and combing thru the clearance rack she got over 300 bucks of clothes for under 50 bucks

I wish the had an option to give the clerk 5 bucks and have it subtracted from the CEO's pay

Yeah it's messed up. J.C. Penney is one of the worst out there. But they're really all not much better. There are few retailers out there that will do right by their staff. Now think about how many people work in retail, realize that other service sector jobs are not any better and then you'll see why food stamp utilization and other government assistance program utilization is up. As are the bottom lines of these corporations - and that's not a coincidence. As a taxpayer, you subsidize the executive paychecks of these corporations and the dividends the shareholders rake in.

You know me, I don't like Govt enforced solutions

We need something like the ISO 9000 standards, for companies that are socially responsible.

Let then put a sticker on their advertising if they get certified, then have a big ad campaign to inform people, so they can support those places..

I'm on board. We have a grocery chain around here that consistently ranks in the top 100 companies to work for list. Good enough for me.
