AP 221g for only 15days

My in laws were put in AP for additional sponsor documents at their interview on Oct 24 2013. We mailed and submitted papers on Nov 1st. After one week today 11/08 their ceac status shows issued.

Your visa has been printed. Depending on local procedures at the location where you were interviewed, your visa will be mailed or available for pickup soon. If there are further questions, or if we need updated contact information, you will be contacted.

Ustraveldocs.com.in does not have any updates on case besides still at post message. Does this message means we are out of hurdle with AP and granted visa?? Please someone shed some light on this? How long does it take for Mumbai consulate to send passport to applicant via courier.

yes, you should be checking where you should pick up the passport.

Thank you Noahsmama. You helped with my confusion before also I very much thankful for your info. This AP thing can be painful. We just suffered for only 15 days, I can imagine how people go through months and months in limbo state. I will pray that God give every one courage to endurance to withstand long separation from love ones.

My mother's case went to AP after interview. Luckily, it didn't take too long to get approved. I feel really sorry for those who live without their love ones.
