Sorry guys but this might have been addressed before but I've been trying to search all over the forums for the past few days now but I can't find a similar situation as mine. Not even sure if I'm posting on the right thread. Anyways!
I'm a US citizen, currently serving in the military for 5 years. I met my fiance' back in April thru facebook, drove all the way to Los Angeles, CA then eventually started dating in May 2013. I proposed to her in October while on a trip to San Diego.
She came in the US on April this year by using Tourist Visa. She went out of status on the end of September.
This is the 4th time she came to the US with a tourist visa to visit her parents. We plan to get married this year on
her birth day which is in December. And of course, I will be filing I-130 to petition her as my spouse right after.
Problem for me is, her parents started an I-130 back in May 2012 to petition her as 'unmarried daughter over 21'.
That petition got approved, but I heard that process takes up to 8 years or more.
Question is, will there be problems or conflicts when I file I-130 to petition her as my spouse?
That's two different petitioner(me and her mom) for one beneficiary(my fiancé).
Also, I got my permanent residency through adoption few years ago. Will this affect my chances for petitioning my fiancé'?

you'll be fine, as a uscitizen, the spouse, to file for her.

however, file the I-130 + I-485 together, don't wait.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

You can be the beneficiary of multiple I-130s without issue.
