Seriously, I'm grateful to have finally gotten our case number a few minutes ago after waiting around for several weeks. But to my disappointment they got the wrong petitioner name for the case. I couldn't believe it. I was told this by the state department so I called NVC (as much as I hate calling and waiting on the phone for ages). I was hoping they would tell me otherwise but of course it's the same DOS system so they confirmed the mistake. I was told I was lucky to have called today as it was entered today and the package hasn't left the NVC for the consulate yet. Alas! my OCD tendencies of calling everyday for the case number paid off just in time to catch the package before it was sent off! I wouldn't be upset if and ONLY if the representative on the phone hadn't mentioned to me after I inquired how such a mistake could happen, and he responds "oh these things are entered by hand so someone might have had 4 or 5 cases at a time and wasn't paying attention enough leading to entering the wrong petitioner's info". I smell incompetence and efficiency and I don't like it, I don't like it at all!! I'm go Woo-sah a couple of times and just hope it is fixed on tuesday before it is sent off as they mentioned.
