this one right?

i'm not defending anyone. I offered a suggestion, since blue has not responded yet. the man is married to an Asian, so he's not a racist. if you seriously need to label him anything, at least get it right. the word you are looking for is bigoted.

yah, I stand by that. but, I am capable of using critical thought to reach an opinion on a topic. you...apparently not so much....go ahead, you know you want to. google critical thinking.

Yes, that one and then the rest of that exchange:

The fact that someone is married to a person of a different race does not disqualify them from being a racist. A persons spouse does not matter in the equation at all.

yes, actually it does. that's why the correct term is 'bigoted' toward a certain race. but, you keep trying though sparky.wink.png

Your reply is false.

If you want to pass judgement on lostinblue based on personal knowledge, that's fine by me, but to make a blanket statement that someone married to a person of a different race cannot be racist, simply isn't so.

i'm not the one passing judgement, you & company are. I corrected you with what I believe to be the correct wording for your labeling endeavor, and have since reported how I came to my conclusion. all I know about blue is his wife is Asian & I don't recall him ever making a clear racist remark. you & company seem to want to scream racism anytime someone opposes the president or makes a negative comment about him. your obsession with race is ridiculous. its also beginning to take the sting out of the word racist, when you use it.

Very few people here will make a clear cut racist remark for obvious reasons, but they dance around it with statements that can be construed in different ways if twisted enough. When a person has a record of continuously making these statements or posting articles that refer to racist thinking, then it's not a really big leap to think that the poster is also a racist. Don't want to be thought of as a racist, then don't make racist comments or post racist articles.

Begging the question, what do you consider to be a racist remark...

There's plenty of them. I don't have the time or the want to find them for you. Nor am I going to bicker back and forth with you as to what qualifies as a racist remark.

If someone told a black US citizen to "go back to Africa" would that be a racist remark?

Hahahahahahaahahahahahahahaha being that all of our ancestors are not from Africa I believe it would be.

(since the conversation is persnickety word play)

Racial stereotype = yes. Racist remark = depends on the context.

& I have a question... is going back to Africa a bad thing that only a racist would wish on another...?

I am very interested in going to Africa to experience a safari someday.....

Obama rump swabs do not want to discuss Obamacare. So they divert to something else. Racism is good. The "electables", (democrat congress people that voted for this trash and have to be re-elected) won't be helped by calling the opposition racists.

The best they can hope for is private welfare. A job where they are expected to produce so little that no one notices they are posting on VJ all day.

Well that's nice and all but I remember you once comparing Michelle and Barack Obama on here to a couple of characters from The Planet of the Apes.

Is it inaccurate to suggest that there's a strong undercurrent of racism at work in relation to criticism of the president? I don't think so. Maybe if people don't like that being pointed out, it might be better to not court such controversy in the first place.

Keep the arguments on policy and don't personalise them. Then you won't get sidetracked.

The ability to effect critical thinking is what separates leaders from followers....and every1 else from libs...Libs don't think. They just follow wink.png Baaing & Bleating...bleating & baaing....oh...that's funny & too easy to pass by. tongue.png

It isn't word play. It's about message and intent. Telling black Americans to go back to Africa says that they don't belong here and aren't welcome. Edited by Martin Wellbourne
