Okay... not sure what that has to do with what I asked though. laughing.gif

You said "You tell me when another President has been referred to by his nationality rather than his name or title. " earlier.

I think him being Catholic was the only thing that mattered to a lot of people. I consider that in the same ball park as race. Not exactly the same because you can change one. But in most cases, people are born into their religion, just like their race.

His mother was an American citizen so it does not matter where he was born, he is an American..

an american parent does not necessarily make it so, in some circumstances.

I've already posted the definition of the word racism as seen in Merriam Webster dictionary. In no way, shape or form does it even hint at what you are saying is true. I've done my part to discredit your claim, now it's your turn to put up. Show me something that backs your statement.

Neither of those definitions backs your claim that a person cannot be racist because they are married to a person of a different race. They back my claim that anyone can be racist, one's spouse plays no role in it.

you really are punchy aren't you?

a racist would not marry outside of their own race, because they feel superior to all others.

a bigot would marry outside their own race, just not a particular one.

do you understand now? or do I need to use pictures to help you?

That's incorrect, that is not the definition of racism. A racist does not have to be racist towards ALL races. Geez, it's right there in black and white. I can post it, but I can't help you with your poor reading comprehension.

rac·ismnoun \ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi-\

: poor treatment of or violence against people because of their race

: the belief that some races of people are better than others

Full Definition of RACISM
1
: a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2
: racial prejudice or discrimination

I know its not your fault you're a mouth breather. so, lets try this. i'll use your source.

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bigot?show=0&t=1383944594

big·ot

noun \ˈbi-gət\

: a person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group (such as a racial or religious group)

Full Definition of BIGOT

: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

again: which one fits?

This would make sense if the topic of conversation was "don't hammer the POTUS, he is awesome!!" .. but it's not. Referring to him as "the Kenyan" has ZERO to do with his performance, so why would people react to it with commentary about his performance?

I have no issue with people who dislike Obama. None. I don't like him 100% of the time. I maintain that he was a better option than his opponent, but I am by no means up his butt and think he should be immune to criticism. And I also don't think anyone who criticizes him is a racist. That's nuts.

But that's not what anybody's talking about right now - at least not me, anyway. I was talking about referring to him as "the Kenyan" .. it has nothing to do with his job.

rofl.gif Okay.

Does calling me Californian or American make someone a racist? No, cuz neither defines my race. Calling him Kenyan refers to his birth right, not his race.

At least you aagree with me on the ease of modifying/faking a birth certificate.
