I'm not sure if I agree. Doesn't have to attack a woman's physical attributes or sex life to be sexist. The word Shrew does not elude to any physical attributes but it does specifically reference a woman. That alone might qualify it as degrading sexism. I wonder what the male version of shrew is....? I saw some posts which stated the male version of shrew is Grouch. IMO - Grouch does not seem sexist so perhaps Shrew is not sexist...hmmmmm. (but) grouch is not gender specific. hmmmmm.
