fixed that for you ted.

Well I can't speak for anyone else but I'm super dumb.

I thought that was the raison d'être of this sub-forum.

Raisin Bran gives me heart burn for some reason.

Boggles the mind how that kind of "logic" works.

Mind bogglers coming out of politics is not new.

In relation to posters calling Obama 'the Kenyan' I don't see how it is the same. If someone else were writing in on behalf of the posters? But that isn't what's happening is it?

If you disagree with Clinton politically that's fine, call her what you like. Of course if those names take the form of sexist language (the English language is inherently biased against women) and a focus on her looks and sex life, that is clearly sexist.

Bcoz No1 knows if blue is racist but blue. Has any1 asked him?

I'm not sure if I agree. Doesn't have to attack a woman's physical attributes or sex life to be sexist. The word Shrew does not elude to any physical attributes but it does specifically reference a woman. That alone might qualify it as degrading sexism. I wonder what the male version of shrew is....? I saw some posts which stated the male version of shrew is Grouch. IMO - Grouch does not seem sexist so perhaps Shrew is not sexist...hmmmmm. (but) grouch is not gender specific. hmmmmm. Still thinking. I'm gonna ask my wife. Asawa Ko is much smarter than I.

I am sorry but you are too late joining this discussion! Apparently someone has already won the entire thread. smile.pngwink.png

I'm still trying to figure out how having a discussion on a discussion board equates to anyone winning or losing. There must be a special points system I'm unaware of.

It works sort of like this.

There are personality conflicts between people here (some going back years) so given enough time and pages, every thread devolves into a b!tch-fest with people trying to one-up each other over nearly decade-long (I'm not kidding) grudges.

Eventually someone will say "I dare you to stop posting", the idea being to pose a psychological dilemma to the 'victim'. Do they carry on, giving the darer ammunition to say I told you so, or do they stop posting, thereby 'winning' the dare but (at the same time) losing because they're doing something that the darer is telling them to do.

What does a person do in such a situation?

You go out.

Well...#######..I have to work for a living...I don't kill...we don't eat. I can't just sit here and play VJ all day every day. Oh well.....so Blue won huh...? I'm good with that. He ain't a racist just coz he's a birther...I'm not buying that no matter how many times MBD posts it.

I don't believe I've said that the poster is racist, I do think referring to the President as "the Kenyan" is suspect and arguably racist - given where it originated from during the 2008 election season.

Calling a woman a 'shrew' is sexist in the fact that the word itself is biased and there are plenty of other words that you could have chosen to use. Words that don't call on gender stereotypes.

Seems pretty childish to me. This game would probably be more fun for those folks.

I agree it is suspect. It definitely walks a fine line but...that's only coz O is black. If O was a blond haired blue eyed man with German ties...& someone accused him of having Nazi ties...I doubt any1 would claim that's a racist driven accusation.

I would not & do not use the B word...or the C word...so maybe I shouldn't use the S word. I will give it some thought but in the meantime, I think Shrew Clinton is a fun way to succinctly describe my opinion of her. Why? Coz I don't likes her. Period. (btw...I'm not anti women. I thought Margaret Thatcher was a class act azz kicker. Clinton's just an azz kicker...no class azz kicker) But..I'll discuss with my wife & give your input some thought. I do like to self improve.. we'll see.
