I got a silly RFE today based on a claim that I did not check off the IMBRA criminal conviction boxes (they are all NO for me). I did check them off, but rather than argue with them, it is much easier and much faster to just fill out the RFE form and send it to them, which I will do tomorrow morning.

The good news is that it only took 38 days from the NOA1 to send me this RFE. So it seems the NOA2 could actually be here by Christmas, a far better Christmas present for me and my fiance than any materail item could ever be.

I might be upset about this RFE if I had to wait 6 1/2 months for it like I waited for my NOA2 the last time, but 38 days takes the sting out of the RFE many times over. So I am actually quite happy at this point.

BTW did anybody else get an RFE for a mistake they didn't make? Am I thinking right that the easiest solution is to correct my non-mistake instead of arguing with them?

August 3, 2013 = Got married!

August 29, 2013 = Mailed application for Adjustment of Status

September 7, 2013 = Received NOA1

October 1, 2013 = Biometrics done.

November 20, 2013 = Scheduled interview.

December 2, 2013 = Green Card received! The letter said they approved my application on Nov 22.

Filed = Sept. 3, 2014

NOA 1 = Sept. 7, 2014

Biometrics = October 1, 2014

Interview = October 20, 2014

Green card received = October 22, 2014

----------
