K1 (I-129F) petition filed in August 2013 (Approved Feb 20th 2014)
13th May 2014: AOS (I-485) & EAD/AP combo card
21st May 2014: NOA 1 and biometric letter
11th June 2014: biometric appointment
13th June 2014: RFE received via mail
16th June 2014: replied to RFE
6th August 2014: EAD Approved, AP still in initial review
12th August 2014: got tracking number for EAD
( ) August 2014: Received EAD (I forgot what date I got them but I did receive them less than 5 days from the 12th)
10th September 2014: Interview Waiver received (I wished I was interviewed)
April 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice

Timeline
you (petitioner ) will receive a letter from NVC when they transfer the approval to the embassy where the beneficiary will do her/his interview . and you will find your case number in the letter you will receive .

after that the beneficiary he/she will receive a package 3 from the embassy with the instruction for her/his interview

how to make appointment, what papers that you need to take with you to the interview and the forms that you need to fill out

nope i guess you received the approval from the USCIS not the letter from NVC just give it a time and you will receive it or try call NVC (National Visa Center) they will tell you if they send it to you or not yet

and after that, do I have to request for packet 3 to be sent to my fiance in algeria? or does he just receive it?

packet 3 will be sent to him without you having to ask for it, it's procedures.

and thats after i file ds-160? thank you so much for your time I appreciate it so much,, algeria is such a hard embassy and I need as much feedback as possible,... I also ordered transcripts...are the account transcripts better or the return transcripts better?

yes he needs to pay the fees medical exam and visa fee at the embassy

he wil find the clinic address and the phone number in the packet 3 he will pay embassy fee when he goes to the interview

note; he can not get appointment for the medical exam until he get appointment for his interview
