just got off phone, received case number and told petition shipped to bkk today via DHL!!!

Awesome news for you! I hope mine is soon to follow ( 10/16 NOA2 from CA ). I'm hoping for a December interview. It all hinges on when NVC gets around to the mid October approvals.

thx negative01...from we have learned from ning and others we will hope for a February interview ,late January at best, based on getting the embassy packet3 documents as soon as possible....steve

Don;t put too much hope in a Dec. interview. Lots of holidays coming up. Best plan Jan or Feb.

Don't wait for the email. Once you see that your case status has changed to ready send Packet 3. Then once you get the packet 4 email you can send the embassy an email asking for stand by. I sent an email last week and was able to take a canceled slot. Here is the thread I started.
