not sure if people are still reading this thread, but it seems like this CPP issue keeps coming back up to haunt you later on.

My fiance is here after waiting a whole 7 months with the K-1 visa situation.

We got married in later December and are finally getting some paper work done...if you forgot you have to apply for an "adjustment of status form" I-485

The CPP question rears it head again.

Has anyone ever have any experience with this? Since USCIS already knows that my fiance was a CCP member, im pretty sure i have to say "Yes" and if i say "Yes" doesn't that mean she'll automatically get flagged and denied?

I get a feeling that this is going to get more annoying as more forms are signed. Am i suppose to just lie from this point on, or tell the trust and get kicked in the ###.

K1 visa's can only legally stay for 90 days. Im pretty sure she'l get denied the first time applying and who knows how long the stupid process will play out.

might want to write a footnote # in the application,

then in an attachment write:

[14] Please refer to FBI clearance granted, and Department of State Finding, both in the A-File - do NOT attempt to adjudicate this application without the A-File in your hands.

----

if nothing else, this will cause the adjudicator to actually pull the A-file, and read the contents. Which, I think for you and yours, is/are really really important.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
