1) It would help us to help you if you filled out your timeline.

2) Take a deep breath.

3) Bring all of the evidence you can gather pertaining to your marriage being genuine. What did you submit/bring along initially?

4) Here is a list of evidence we submitted for the CR-1 visa. My wife carried copies with her to the interview:

• 4 signed G-325A forms for wife

• 4 signed G-325a forms for myself

• 1 labeled passport style photo of wife

• 1 labeled passport style photo of self

• Copy of certificate of marriage

• Birth Certificate of self

• Birth Certificate of wife

• Birth Certificate of our son

• U.S. Passport face page of self and son

• Photographs of us together

• Hundreds of pages of chat transcripts*

*I printed these out four pages to the page. This may seem like overkill, but if I were you, given the re-interview, I would have everything possible with me.

Best of luck.

Did you or your wife figure out why you were denied? Hint... give us a little more info than "stupid reasons". For sure there were reasons, you and your wife just happened to not like or agree with them.

Glad you were reaffirmed. You need to bring in every little piece of evidence you can think of to put any doubts the CO's had the first time around to rest. Do you have any shared assets? Leases? Bank accounts? I know it's hard to do this when you live in 2 different countries, but this is quality evidence. How much time has your wife spent with you since you got married? Has she spent time with your family? Her boarding passes, passport stamps, bank activity, hotel receipts, photos, etc are critically important also. Secondary evidence is the phone logs and internet chats. Leave no stone unturned.

There are folks on here who have overcome a denial. Not too many are still active members. They would probably advise you to be well prepared and calm for this interview. Where there is a will, there's a way Inshallah. Good luck.

Like the other poster said, please fill in your time line.

Sarah is right, "stupid reasons" is not enough information. You may get denied again for those same "stupid reasons" if you haven't done anything about them, or aren't prepared to address them.

There are plenty of members who were successful at a second interview.

Is your wife a member of this site? If not, why not ask her to join? People are happy to help you, but there are just some things that are easier to explain to the US citizen/petitioner.

Did the CO ask you "what is your wife's son's name?" and you answered correctly?

Language barrier is not a stupid reason to refuse a visa, especially since it wasn't the only reason, because how can you demonstrate you communicate like a husband and wife when you don't share a common language easily?

Sounds to me they didn't believe your relationship was legitimate. The good news is usually this can be overcome with time and a lot more evidence. I concur with mahboula. Your wife needs to join this site and read up on what constitutes a strong IR1 visa application. She should also do practice interviews with you so if there's something you still don't know she can correct you.

I assuming you mean you were married to an American citizen in 2011? Or did you mean your wife has been a citizen since 2011?

I applied for CR1 nd get denied for stupid reasons ....so I appeal and they reaffirmed the approval

Your wife is the one doing most of the paperwork, correct? You said " I applied" and "I appeal" so I'm wondering what level of involvement your wife has in this whole process. Are you actually doing it yourself, and just telling your wife where to sign and what documents to get?

I said stuped reason cuz the interviewer lies to me

Did the interviewer lie to you or lie about you? Did she say at the interview "you don't know her son's name" ? Did she tell you your English was weak? Were those the written reasons for refusal listed on the notice your wife received?

Do you and your wife communicate in a language other than English? Was your interview entirely in English?

Did you ask your wife yet to log on to VJ?

She lied about me she put those reasons that they'd was not true I know my wife's son name

You keep saying how upset you are about this, but have you taken the time to figure out why this might have happened?

I'm sure you know her son's name. Maybe there was some confusion. For example, did she ask you for his full name, and you only answered with his first name instead of first, middle and last? Maybe he is called by a different name than the given name on his birth certificate, or he has a nickname. For example my father's given name is Robert, but everyone calls him Chippy. If they had asked my husband at his interview "who is Robert?", he would have had no idea. Or if they had asked him my father's name he would have answered Chippy, because I never explained the nickname to him. Maybe there was some confusion like that at your interview. That's why you need to prepare this time, like someone already suggested. Sit down with your wife and practice. Do your best to remember everything they asked you last time. See if you can figure out what went wrong.

so how can she said to uscis tht my English wa poor !

Ok, look. I don't speak another language. I have respect for anyone who learns a second language(or more), so I am not trying to insult you in any way. Your English is good, but it's far from perfect. It does seem like you speak it well enough to communicate with your wife though. Who knows why she thought it wasn't good enough. But calling her stupid and a liar and stomping your feet will not get you your visa. If they say your English isn't good enough, then what you do is prove them wrong. You've had plenty of time since your denial, so hopefully you've been studying, and your English has improved since your last interview. You still have time now, so keep working on it.

Also, it's not your native language. Misunderstanding just a few little words can result in a whole lot of confusion. Don't be afraid to ask the interviewer to repeat questions, or to clarify when you're not sure about something. I have read stories about others being interviewed who conducted most of the interview in English, however when they found something too difficult to explain in English, they explained in their native language. Sometimes you just can't find the right words, or you want to make sure you are perfectly understood.

Jut for U guys my wife vist me 6 times nd each time she stay from 4 to 6 mouth but last time she stays with me for year

That's a lot of time spent together. That's great. The more time together the better. Just calm down and prepare for your interview. Gather all the evidence that the others suggested and were kind enough to list for you. Unless there are other major issues you haven't told us about, then chances are good that you'll have a better outcome this time around.

When my husband Mouad and I met his English was not the best. Speaking was poor but typing was good. And interviewe can not judge ones relationship on how one speaks, or ones correct grammer. However that's just my opinion. When my husband went to his interview in Casablanca all our evidence was refused. We were worried and heartbroken and I contacted our senators here to make sure we wouldn't have any problems. Two months later Mouad was getting off a plane into the United States. Dont let one interviewer stop you. Be persistent and collect your evidenc, and stay firm to the truth and your beliefs. Good luck.

I'm not here to ask what happened or why. Just go with everything possible. It is better to have too much evidence than not enough.

Just so you know there have been many of us here that had this happen to us. This happened to us, and we proved our case. We have now been married 9 years, and he has been here for 7. So don't give up hope, just be prepared.

Just for your information...the consulate will test you to see if you can handle their questions. It happened to my husband too. They will ask you tricky questions and it's up to you to answer them calmly and truthfully. This is part of the interview.

For example, during my husband's interview. The person that questioned my husband tried to trick him too. They asked him to confirm "if his wife's son name was John". Of course, I (being the wife) don't have any children. And John is actually my father's name. My husband corrected the interviewer and told him the truth that it was my father's name.

Like the other people said, just be prepared and know everything about your wife's background and you will do fine. Don't take things personally and all questions they ask are not stupid. They want to know if you really know each other. It's part of the interview process. Good luck and keep us posted.

since it's been some time, you'll want to get new:

1. medical exam and

2. police clearance certificate and

3. I-864 set

bring all of that with you into the new interview. If the appointment letter mentions them, GREAT! I will bet that it won't list these things, and current stuff is needed from my list.

Go Get Em, and Good Luck !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
