Today is the last day of our 8 weeks wait. What a long journey! I'm still nervous about the results though, I tried to call SLEC today (even if I was asked to call on Tuesday) but couldn't get through at all, I re-dialed for an hour and gave up.wacko.png Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. I just really really really want this to be done and over with.

Base on other user's experience, they said that if SLEC didn't call within the 8th week period, the result lean more towards being negative (I pray pray pray this is true.)

Had there been any accounts were result was positive even if SLEC didn't call within the 8th week period?

Update: Just got a call from SLEC a few minutes ago. Got pretty scared because they said if SLEC calls, expect bad news. The lady on the phone asked if I have my med cert (from lung surgery 5 years back) with me and old xray films and I said they're still with me (been too lazy to go to SLEC and submit them). She asked me if I can come by Wednesday or Thursday next week to submit them. I asked her if the culture results are already available and she said to call back on the 12th, I insisted and asked her still and she said it's negative (YEY). She even said they're not allowed to disclose the results over the phone and to pretend I don't know the results yet when I come in next week. (haha) But I thanked her for telling me anyway and giving me a little peace of mind.

Does this mean I'll be cleared now when I present my med cert and old xray films? Or should i still worry?

Nope I have never read of anyone have to re-do the sputum test after a negative result.

Thanks Hank for the replies. I called again today just to be sure, and was told to bring my passport and 495 pesos for repeat preg test. It looks like you are right, my arms will be sore on Wednesday.

Such a relief! :) I am so happy. dancin5hr.gif

Wednesday will be a good day for ice cream. smile.png

Indeed Hank. dancin5hr.gif It took me 10 hours at SLEC before my X-Ray CD and records were released but the wait was all worth it. I didn't get a shot though coz i just needed the Tetanus shot but SLEC said they were out of stock for that particular shot and would have it only by next month but the nurse said I could still go to the interview and have that vaccine administered in the US.

God is good! Interview is on Tuesday. I'm excited.
