I have been reading wether or not we need visa for our stop over in beijing, china and read about the stop over permit stamp that they will stamp in the passport that will let you go ouside the airport and see the city. Has anybody experience this or have information about this? For those from beijing, china what places can you recommend to visit for a day? We will arrive china 5am and our fligh leaves in 8pm.

I've used Beijing as a transit stop for a United flight to the US. I had a short window (less than and hour and a half stop) and had to change airports which meant I had to get out and hop on a shuttle. For flights that require you to change airports, you have to go through immigration and get a transit stamp on your passport. They will request for a copy of your itinerary/booking and boarding pass if you were issued one from your original departure. I think it is valid for a day or until you complete your transit. There are shuttles available for free that travel to and from each terminal and to Beijing Railway. The railway is your best option to seeing the city. Make sure you plan ahead though, BCIA is not that close to down town and Beijing is known for bad traffic.

Sein oder Nichtsein, das ist heir die Frage.
